Feature-length Japanese animation based on the novel series by Nahoko Uehashi. Van voice of Shinichi Tsutsumi led a rebellion against the Empire of Zol and lost. Fleeing imprisonment, he meets Yuna Hisui Kimura, a young girl in need of protection. They fight off a pack of wolves carrying a deadly disease and together they seek peace in the countryside, but as the disease runs rampant, its cause and a cure must be found.
